Rheinfall mit rötlichem Feuerwerk über dem Mittelfelsen.
Fire on the rocks

Large fireworks display

After dark at around 9:45 pm, it's «Fire on the rocks» on 31 July. The Rhine Falls offer a magnificent spectacle and magical moments as they are magnificently illuminated in different colours. Firework bouquets and light effects enchant the largest waterfall in Europe and offer you a unique and unforgettable experience.

Important information

A large number of visitors are expected. Fireworks visitors are therefore advised to arrive early by public transport. Catering stands will provide culinary delights directly on the Rheinfallquai and on the grounds of Schloss Laufen. The fireworks can be admired free of charge. Around 10,000 visitors are expected to enjoy this unique show. For safety reasons, no people are allowed on the Laufenwiese during the fireworks display. The Laufenwiese will therefore be closed off in advance and will not be accessible. It is also forbidden to set off private fireworks at the Rhine Falls.

Access to the Rhine Falls basin via Laufengasse and/or the elevators will be closed off from Industrieplatz when visitor numbers are high or, at the latest, starting at 7:00 p.m. The train station platform is not permitted for use as a viewing platform.

We look forward to your visit!

Due to the large number of visitors, it is recommended to arrive early on foot, by bike or by public transport.
