Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall

Entrance per person CHF 5.00 per person. Included in the ticket price: access to the Historama and the viewing platforms.
Children 6 - 15 years CHF 3.00
For groups from 15 to 29 persons, CHF 3.00 per person.
For groups with more than 30 persons, CHF 2.00 per person.

Tickets for visitors in a wheelchair, with a pram and groups of 15 or more are only available in the Visitor Centre.

Barrier-free

Northern banks, Neuhausen am Rheinfall/Schaffhausen

  • Easily accessible by car. Disabled people with disability identification can drive right down to the Rhine Falls basin (separate parking spaces available).

  • Wheelchair lift to the pier and ramp to boats available. Please book in advance.

Southern banks with Schloss Laufen, Dachsen/Zurich

Easily accessible by car. Access to the Panorama Trail by lift during operating hours.

No steps at entrances on the castle grounds.

  • No disabled access to the Rhine Falls basin and the shipping pier

Arrival via the railway station "Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall» possible. Maximum 20 cm difference in height between platform and train. Wheelchair users can give a hand signal to the locomotive engine crew in the driver's cab and will then get personal assistance to board with the help of a mobile ramp. Access from the station to the panorama lift and visitor centre, without any steps (tickets for visitors in wheelchairs or with prams are exclusively available at the visitor centre).

Are dogs allowed at the Rhine Falls?

Dogs are allowed on the entire Rhine Falls site.

From Schaffhausen to the Rhine Falls by boat?

There is no boat service between Schaffhausen and the Rhine Falls.

Vignette?

In Switzerland, a vignette is compulsory on national roads (motorways and roads with green signs). This costs CHF 40.00 and is available from post offices, most petrol stations and garages, TCS offices and road traffic offices. Vignettes are also available at motorway petrol stations near the border. E-vignettes can also be purchased. You can find the information here.

If you are travelling on the A81, the vignette requirement applies from the D/CH border in Thayngen.
